How it all started

In April 27, 2017, the United Nations resolved to include World Creativity and Innovation Day, April 21 as a Day of Observance to encourage people to use creativity in problem-solving for all issues related to achieving the 2015 Sustainable Development Goals. 2018 marks the first year the UN will observe WCID.

The purpose for World Creativity and Innovation Day was, and still is, to remind and encourage people to use their creativity to make the world a better place and to make their place in the world better too.

Looking at the core focus of WCIW it is become clear that most of our current challenges can be solved with Creativity and Innovation.  To this extent  the urgent drive for Creativity and Innovation is a call to action for every one who truly believes and cares for the  continent of Africa. It is upon this premise that we decided to customize our engagement,  inspiration and perspectives.
